MY EZCEMA STORY....
Hellooo Jemples and welcome back to another post! I hope like always you are all happy and healthy and are loving life! So this post was requested by a friend who actually asked whether the Neutrogena cream that I mentioned in my rave review was suitable for people to use on the face who suffered from eczema. To which I said no way! Whatever you do please do not use that on your face and especially because of the severe eczema she suffers from. I promised her that I would do a separate post about products that are suitable for those with eczema. And whilst digging out those products I actually remembered my own eczema story and how these products really benefitted me and still do today. So as you all probably guessed unlike some of my posts this one is completely a first hand experience!! Before I start let me give out a really important disclaimer please please please patch test these products on your skin first to test if they are suitable for your skin. If you find that anything mentioned in this post irritates your skin please stop using it and visit a doctor. Another important disclaimer which is probably more obvious one everyone's skin is different so not all of these products will work. People will more severe eczema will probably find that they don't so don't take my word for it. These just personally work for me! Pheww that said and done let us move forward!
So I suffered from eczema and that too quite severe eczema all throughout my childhood which later converted to acne in my teenage years. I first had eczema when I was around 10 or 11 I used to get really red sore skin which was really itchy. The problem areas were mainly around the top of my eyebrows, on my cheeks, near my jaws and in a few areas on my body particularly my arms. It was definitely more severe on my face, I used to itch so much that my skin used to literally bleed. So I used to take regular visits to the dermatologist and that's when I was first introduced to doublebase cream which was a life saver! I mean I can use this everyday till I die that's how much I love it! This was definitely a better option than steroid based creams that I was constantly prescribed (omg they made me put on so much weight!). I found that my using this my skin constantly felt moisturized and cool which would help me itch a lot less. I was then introduced to E45 which I would say is the same consistency and basically the same as Doublebase cream. If I found that I had less of one I would use the other and I switched between the 2 quite a lot. They are both quite oily and thick so my face used to glow a lot in the sun (ooopps!!) but it really helped to keep me cool. Fast forward a few years and a lot of prescribed treatments which I really can't remember and I still use the two today. E45 I use everyday without fail before I go to sleep just because I'd rather not have my face looking oily throughout the day. It's helped to reduce my redness and itchiness and my eczema overall! I would definitely recommend the 2 to anyone because they are both dermatologically tested and the rest you can research by yourself! All I can say through a first hand experience they really do help.
I also find that by using a natural and very soft moisturiser for everyday really helps. Using a moisturiser straight after a shower helps to lock in moisture making your skin less dry and itchy. I actually use Johnsons moisturiser in the naturals range for everyday. It's free from fragrance and all natural and literally absorbs in your skin straight away. It's perfect for sensitive skin and anyone with any skin conditions. It's not as oily as the other 2 so you can wear it throughout the day. I've been using this for a really long time and I love it! A quick home remedy would be to mash up cucumber until it's quite chunky and apply this over your face like a scrub, how often you do this is up to you but it really helps to cool down the skin and will help to reduce and inflammation and redness. You can use this method even if you don't suffer from any skin conditions it really helps to keep your skin fresh!
So Jemples that's the end of this post I hope that like always you enjoyed this post which was a bit out of my comfort zone I have to admit! But anyways I hope you found it useful and if there are any products that helped your skin I'd love to know. Like always please comment and share and like my facebook page for all the exclusive updates! https://www.facebook.com/jemimasworld?ref=hl. Bye bye xx

RAVE REVIEW!!!
Well Helloo there all you Jemples and welcome back to another post. I actually decided to introduce the skincare tab just because I feel like I have a lot of things to share with you all about skincare and because I feel very passionate about taking good care of my skin. I mean we all only have the one face and so we technically only have one chance to take care of our skin. Yeah it's all good and fine to slap make-up on your face but it's also very important to cleanse your face and take care of it on a regular basis. Hence why I uploaded my skincare routine some time back. But today I'm actually going to literally rave review about these 2 amazing products that are to do with skincare less of face skincare and more of body skincare. These two products are from the same company and I actually saw them the first time on the TV (curse you television and all your fancy advertisements!)
As you can probably tell by the massive picture I'm talking about the company Neutrogena! Which I feel is definitely one of the best companies out there to turn to for skincare so it was no surprise that I decided to pick these products up and that I absolutely loved them!
I'm going to talk about the hand cream first which is the one on the left hand side. Now I have such a bad problem with dry skin on my hands which leaves my hands feeling really rough all the time. It's especially worse when it's extremely cold or extremely hot (like now!). I find that my skin around my nails and on the ends of my fingers starts to crack and peel off which leaves my hands feeling really sore. Sometimes my skin will peel off so much that it'll cause my hands to bleed from the areas it's peeled off from. So it became really necessary for me to find a product that would suit and cure my hands, I mean even what the doctor prescribed me didn't work. I went through so many hand creams from the Vaseline intensive care one to the garnier one and they just won't working which was pretty upsetting because they cost quite a bit of money. Then one day I heard about this product and thought that I'd try it out I actually was pretty pessimistic about it working but it really does. So it's a nourishing hand cream that like the bottle says enhances skin hydration by 3 times and it is clinically proven to work with your skins natural processes. Which is defo a plus point many products just mask the skin and don't really work with it. It also has an amazing smell!! OMG the smell of Nordic berries is just divine! It absorbs easily and is non-greasy. I squeeze quite a bit on the palm of my hands whenever I feel that my hands are dry but I especially make sure that I apply this before I go to sleep. And I'm not going to lie the difference it's made to my hands is just out of this world! My hands are now so soft and feel nourished all the time.
The second product is a body lotion which I actually bought after I started to fall in love with the hand cream. And you can probably already guess it pretty much has the same benefits as the hand cream it leaves your skin feeling so soft and is so beneficial for any areas where you may have dry skin. I tend to avoid putting this on my face just because of the fragrance but I do apply it everywhere else especially after I've had a bath. After applying this you'll instantly be able to see and feel the benefits on your skin and you'll smell lovely too! Nordic Berry is also proven to have many benefits for the skin and is known as a Scandinavian super fruit.
So Jemples do try these products and let me know if you love them as much as I do and as always I'll see you in my next post! Bye bye xx

MY EVERYDAY SKINCARE ROUTINE
I've gotta admit has been requested by a lot of people even before I started this blog, especially those who see me on a day to day basis. A lot of people ask about the products I use on my skin because according to them it's really clear (I don't think it's that clear but it's a lot clearer then before). Now before I start my routine (for my face) it's only necessary for me to throw a disclaimer out there that not all these products are suited for every skin type. Everyone is different so what works on my skin might not necessarily work on yours (so don't go to buy these products test them first). Also my skin type is combination (well I feel it is anyways) this means that it's a combo of both oily and dry. I get more oil on my T-zone whilst the rest of my face is quite dry. So it's taken my quite a long time to find products that suit my face especially because I suffered from acne quite severe one through my teenage years. So I've gotta be really careful when choosing products as my skin tends to get quite sensitive around those areas. With that said let's get on with it!

1. So the first thing that I do after a long day is to obviously remove my make-up. Now I can't stress the importance of doing this, I know a lot of people who don't remove their make-up because they can't be bothered. This really harms your skin because it clogs up your pores and can lead to spots and wrinkles. I clean my makeup using the Garnier 2 in 1 makeup remover which is so gentle and like the bottle says you don't need to rub. It contains both a toner and a remover so you get both in one bottle!! I put a bit of this on a cotton and rub all over my face literally my makeup comes off in one go! BTW my packaging is a bit old!
2. After that I exfoliate my face. Now when I first started doing this I used to rub it really hard and my face used to get really red and itchy. You seriously don't need to rub that hard! I also first started my exfoliating everyday for 2 months until my skin was used to it and now I only exfoliate twice a week. I use the St Ives fresh skin scrub (apricot flavour). This is quite grainy so if you prefer a more mousse like or cream like exfoliator then this isn't for you. I put about a 10p size of product in my palm and then rub all over my face. I also like to leave it on for a while until I can feel like it's sunk into my face and then wash it off with some water. For anything that's left on my face I use a clean towel to clean it all off. I highly recommend this step because it removes all dead skin cells and leaves your skin feeling so soft and fresh. St Ives is an amazing brand because there are products for every skin type whether you're looking for fresh skin (like me) or something that's not too harsh on your sensitive skin St Ives has it all! And it smells amaaazing!! I've been meaning to try the new blemish control I'll let you know when I do.
3. Now this step I've gotta admit I don't do everyday I kinda skip it I prefer to use nose pore strips instead of the clean and clear blackhead clearing scrub. I actually only apply this like across my nose, chin and nose and leave it on for a few minutes and then wash off. I did find it worked when I used it everyday but now that I don't it's not as effective and I really can't be bothered. It's an amazing scrub though again grainy so do try it if you're looking for a gentle clearing scrub. I tend to use the Tea tree nose pore strips from Boots once every 2 weeks as I find that it works a lot better then the scrub in removing
blackheads.
4. After doing step three I like to moisturize. Now I don't use any fancy moisturisers in fact I use the Johnsons Natural moisturiser!! I know childish right!! But I'm not lying it's so soft and gentle on my skin that I don't dare to try any other one just in case I don't get the same results. Do try this if you've got really sensitive skin because it smells amazing and works like a charm! BTW it's quite hard to find these but defo look in the baby section you'll find them there.
5. Finally now I've only discovered this product quite recently but I would defo recommend it. I mean this product works like nothing I've seen before!! It's an oil that once put on a scar or any blemishes you have on your face completely gets rid of them in about 1 week. Of course you wouldn't put it on open wounds and testing it on your skin is important first! But once you've done all of that just try and putting it on your scar everyday and you'll see that it will vanish pretty soon!! You'll have to look around a bit to find this oil (Jasons) but trust me it's worth it!!
So Jemples that's the end of this post. I hope you enjoyed it and found some of the products useful do try them out and let me know how it goes!! and for those who ask this is the secret to my beautiful skin (I'm only joking it's not that beautiful!) Bye bye until tomorrow xx
Ive been thinking of buying a hand cream as at the moment even my skin has become dry ill be buying the netorgena hand cream due to your excellent review.
