Helllooo Jemples and welcome back or should I say welcome back to myself because it has seriously been forever! I actually sat down today after completing all my exams and being completely tension free and thought to myself before doing anything else I should pick up my camera, computer and today's product and write a blog post. And to my utter shock when I logged into my blog today I looked at the last date I wrote a post and I seriously couldn't believe that I haven't written a post since the 4th of Feb 2015!!!! And to be honest I can sit here make excuses as to where I disappeared to and what not but I'm not going to cuz I know you guys would much rather want me to push the excuses to a side and get back to what I'm best at making blog posts on things that I love or not. But if one good thing came about from this long disappearance it would defo have to be the load of posts I have lined up for you on products that I really have been testing for about 5 months now so let's get started!
So there was no other product by which I could start my blog again other than the Maybelline dream flawless nude foundation, by me saying I'm obsessed would totally be an understatement, in fact I'm so in love with this product that I've ended up re-purchasing it multiple times.
So what's all the fuss, well this foundation is definitely one of it's kind as it says on the bottle it's a fluid-touch foundation which basically means that it's of a watery consistency very different from any other foundation. Now worry not it's not so watery that when you try to apply it runs straight down your face instead I would say that it's like a weird kind of middle way between a thick foundation and a runny moisturiser for example. To be honest the best way I can explain the consistency is that it's the same consistency of a children's sun cream, I know weird right! When I first picked up this product and shook it all I could hear was a very watery sound and to be honest I kind of kept putting it back on the shelf and then picking it up again but when I came home and opened it I instantly fell in love.

So you apply this product by using the tear drop shape applicator that comes with it when you unscrew the lid. Now this looks like it would just over complicate things and it just generally looks like a really weird shape but surprisingly it makes the application really easy and hygienic.
So once I've applied this using the applicator I use my fingers to blend the product in, fingers are really the best tool because brushes leave streaks and sponges just absorb the product up! What I've found with this product is the longer you take to blend it in the more natural it looks it honestly looks like your skin but better. It really looks like your skin is flawless and naturally very even-toned. I've also found that on my skin it lasts all day so we're talking at least 10 hours if I apply powder on those areas where my skin gets really oil. It doesn't transfer and is waterproof honestly once you apply this it locks straight into your skin. Another plus point is the foundation itself is quite yellow-toned making it perfect for a lot of skin tones particularly asian skin tones, it's defo something that's very rare in drugstore foundations. The packaging is so pretty and it's quite small and non-bulky perfect to carry around. I'd definitely rate this product at least a 4.5 out of 5.

The only downside is the product really does finish quickly compared to normal foundations it only contains 200ml. It also stains clothes and carpets very easily and trust me when I say this it does not budge so you really have to be careful particularly around carpets.
So Jemples what are you guys waiting for go to your local Boots or Superdrug and pick this beauty up, it's only priced at £8.99 you can thank me later!
