Potato balls

Helloo Jemples have I got another recipe for you! This recipe like many of the others is perfect for any party, it is literally really easy to whip up and takes about 20 minutes top. Now I've gotta admit this post is slightly delayed I've been meaning to write up this recipe for you guys for the longest of times ever since the start of Ramadan but I honestly lost most of the pictures (#confessions of a blogger) so I had to start all over again. So here we go...

Gifts #4 Frozen inspired nails

Hellooo Jemples and welcome back to yet another series of the gift guide. Now this gift is not something that you would typically gift someone, in fact it's not something that you can physically wrap up instead it's something that you'd do for someone as a treat. What better gift to gift your mum, your sister, your aunt etc then a home manicure and that too a Disney Frozen inspired one!! So Jemples if you like this idea more than me and you just can't wait to get started then carry on reading..

So Simple!

Well Helloooo there all my Jemples! I cannot apologise enough for the sudden AWOL! I just was soo busy and I know it's really bad but I kinda started to neglect my blog because I just had so much other things to do. I guess I never really found the time in between the never ending wedding season and a lot of eventful events which is just going to lead me on to rambling more so I'm just going to get straight in. So this post is kinda an update as well as a really simple winged liner tutorial. I'll start with the update so it never really hit me about how long it's been since I've uploaded any shazazzle on this blog until Facebook sent me a message about the new page I've started and told me that I should well basically upload things a lot more. Ooopsies! So I've promised not to neglect and instead of carefully planning what to upload I'm going to upload some planned posts and some really random ones too. Which of course is going to happen a lot more regularly *fingers crossed* and for the all the exclusive updates and some extras please go and like my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/jemimasworld?ref=hl!

Now back to this post I'm gonna admit this was a kinda random post which came about from a compliment I received from a reader about the make-up look that I had uploaded before this one (blue eyes) they were really liking the colours that I had chosen as well as the winged liner look that I'd used. They were really impressed about the precision of the liner and thought it was really hard to achieve. So I sat down and thought to myself it's really not that hard maybe I should upload a really simple tutorial showing all of you how so simple it is! (Yes! I linked the title to the post!) This is literally 5 easy steps.

Blue eyes

Well hellooo there Jemples and welcome back to another makeup tutorial! As promised in my last post I'm back with a makeup tutorial using the colours that were strictly in the Makeup Revolution day to night palette. As you all know it's wedding season here in England and obviously Asian weddings in particular take place on a really grand scale with bright colours and glitzy outfits. So it's only apt if the makeup matches with the outfit and is just as bright and shimmery as the outfit! Keeping my promise in mind whilst applying my makeup yesterday I thought it would be best if I took pictures of what I was doing each step of the way. I've just gotta mention that the pictures were really hard to take because the colours used were so light I had to really play around with the lighting and the camera. The end result might not be perfect in your eyes but you can see what I'm doing in the pictures and I'll explain each step like always.

And away we go!! So unlike the first tutorial this requires just 5 easy steps, I've really simplified it down for you guys.

Personalise your folder!

Heyyy Jemples and welcome back to another post but this one like I promised is nothing to do with make-up or beauty whatsoever instead it's a DIY post! Before starting this post I just want to thank all of you a million and fifty times for you're immense support! It's been totally surreal as I've mentioned many times before this started off as a hobby and now it's reached the point where it's totally unbelievable to even think that I'm getting so much support from everyone around the world. So why the hell am I saying this it's because my blog and it's contents are now visible on google upon searching. A special mention to NabiilaBee who without doubt has to be one of the sweetest people ever she without even giving it a second thought shared my blog on her facebook page which means so much to me! I wanna thank you all for constantly spreading the word and I know you'll continue to do so. Lots of love x

Anyhow back to the post now this post was actually inspired by the A levels result day which took place just last Thursday I really hope all of you got what you expected or even if you didn't are happy with the unexpected twists and turns that life has presented to you. I actually got into the university of my choice to study Law which has been my dream for such a long time so I was so happy that I did exceptionally well. It was all the result of sincere hard work that led me to come third in my entire college! I know it still hasn't sunk in! So ever since I found out I was going to uni in October there's only been one thing on my mind which is stationery shopping!! I'll have to tell you all about what I bought but in another post really soon but one of the things I did buy was this plain lime green folder. It so happened that I was cleaning out all my jewellery yesterday and all the little broken bits and bobs actually gave me the idea to decorate my folder just so it's a lot more personal to me. So I sat down today to decorate and I thought it would be really cool to share my design process with all you guys! There's nothing better than starting school, college or university with personalised things.....

Funky Nails!

Heeyooo Jemples and welcome back to another post. I really need to think of a better intro because I feel like I introduce my posts in the same way all the time! Well anyways I'm back with another post after exactly 7 days! I know a long time right and like always I'm really sorry I actually had a few blood tests to get done, a few visits to the dentist and basically a lot of pending work so I thought it would be best if I finished all that shzazzle off and then sit down to write up posts and with that I make a promise that I will start to upload more frequently and upload things that aren't always make-up based. Oooh I forgot to mention I actually passed my driving test so I'm now officially a driver well that's what my certificate says anyway! So as you all know it was Eid quite recently and I thought that I would share with all of you guys the nails that I wore on Eid, now by wearing nails I don't mean fake nails I mean my real nails with some extra bling added on to them. For all of you who are Asian particularly Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi you all probably know that this month and a few months after is completely crammed with weddings so this look is perfect to spice up any outfit. And for those of you who don't have to worry about the never ending wedding season this look is perfect for the summer! It's also quite a weird way of relaxing yourself because we all know tomorrow is the dreaded A Level Results day!! Cue the dramatic music! I wish all of you all the best and I hope you do really well and are pleased with whatever it is you end up getting or wherever you end up going!

SULTRY GOLD SMOKEY EYE (tutorial)

SULTRY GOLD SMOKEY EYE (tutorial)

Hellooo all my lovely Jemples and welcome back to yet another make-up post but fear not for this is one with a slight difference. Actually I lie it's a post with a big difference because it's one of it's first ever on this blog. Yes I'm talking about a tutorial finally!! I actually debated a lot to myself whether to do tutorials or not I just kinda felt that you wouldn't ever be able to really tell what I'm doing through just pictures but I was really wrong. It turns out that the step by step pictures do really help (even though it's pretty hard to take picture of your eye by yourself!) So once I overcame that problem I had another problem what kind of tutorial would I upload and when I asked a few people the requests came pouring in! So I thought I would start with the most basic and most requested look which I personally love because it's really versatile and you can adapt it to suit you. And that was the gold/bronzy smokey eye which you can achieve in pretty much 10 easy steps. But before I start let me just tell you that you don't have to a) use the products I'm using, I chose to use my MUA palette which I've reviewed before just because I didn't want to use a high end product and a lot of people requested that I should do these tutorials with cheaper products and b) use the colours I'm using, if you're outfits another colour then just change the colours up and if you don't like smokey eyes then don't go for black but use a softer colour like brown instead. It's all up to you! So let's get started.

Ramadhan Diaries: Day 08 & LOOM BANDS!!

 RAMADHAN DIARIES: DAY 08

Hi Jemples and of course welcome back yet again to another post, another Ramadhan diary. Now I know it hasn't really been much of a Ramadhan diary for the past couple of days because I haven't been able to share my experiences (I'm on my non-fasting days if you get the hint) but hopefully that all will change tomorrow and I'll be able to share a lot more with you guys from tomorrow Insha'Allah. I'm also hoping to upload a recipe tomorrow if all goes to plan because it's been quite a while since I've done one. I'm just going to put this out there if you've got any requests whatsoever that come under any topic, for example eid makeup, styling etc do let me know. I will be doing a few eye makeup tutorials and hijab tutorials (if I can figure out how to do them without showing my face) if all goes to plan so if you've got any colours or requests then do let me know either by commenting anywhere or by emailing me at jemimas-world@hotmail.com. Oki dokes now that that's over and done with let me drive back around the roundabout and get off at the turning that is today's post.  Today's post has to be one of the most fun posts I've done because not only is the world enjoying it at the moment I am too!! So what the hell am I talking about well I'm talking about LOOM BANDS!!

Ramadhan Diaries: Day 03 & Chocolate Cake Recipe!!

RAMADHAN DIARIES: DAY 03

Hellooo Jemples and as you probably guessed by the bold, capitalised heading (I mean it's pretty obvious, I really should stop with these typical intros) this post is my Ramadhan diary day 03, like I mentioned in my diary yesterday that you guys are totally loving these diaries and the recipes that come with it. I actually find it quite funny that when I started these diaries I wrote that the recipes would be very less, in fact I was planning on just doing 1 or 2 recipes through the whole of Ramadhan. But Alas! Life planned something else it planned struggles, the daily struggle of COOKING! Now I know a lot of you at this point are like what the hell is she complaining about, she makes some amazing stuff! Well to be totally honest I'm a really bad cook but Ramadhan has opened up my eyes and taught me that I'm not that bad of a cook (after a lot of practicing of course!) Enough babbling on let me get to day 3 and how it's been, surprisingly it's actually gone quite fast (OMG I never thought I'd say that I was thinking that the days will drag on forever!). For Sehri I didn't have Weetabix, oh no! I can't be having something I'm not liking anymore so I opted for the more desi of options roti & salan (chapatti & curry) and of course do I even need to say my banana, but even though I ate quite a bit I'm actually feeling really hungry (it didn't help that something yummy was cooking in my oven!) and thirsty today. Iftaar was amazing I ate homemade chips and fish fingers, there's just something about homemade chips they taste absolutely amazing! And of course my mango cheesecake desert which I'm not bragging or anything but was so yummy that me and my family ate it all! It's such a light desert that has just a small hint of mango so definitely try it out! So what's todays recipe well it's another desert! I actually was thinking of making something different but since it's my dads birthday today we decided to make a chocolate cake for the first time in our lives! I've gotta admit this recipe is really simple and it doesn't really matter if the cakes don't come out as planned because the decoration is more messy types!

Ramadhan Diaries: Day 02 and Quick Mango cheesecake!

RAMADHAN DIARIES: DAY 02
Heyyoo Jemples and welcome back to my Ramadhan diaries, well I've gotta say one thing last night I was thinking about whether to carry on these Ramadhan diaries but the stats I saw this morning blew my mind! It turns out that this is probably the most viewed page on my blog which obvs means that a lot of you are enjoying these daily diaries. So fear not I will continue to do these. So Ramadhan day 02 where can I start... hmmmm.. well I would be lying if I said that todays day went faster, it did not with a capital NOT but I would be lying if I said that it didn't go easier. I haven't been feeling as thirsty or as hungry as I did yesterday which is quite surprising because I ate a lot less for Sehri then I did in day 1. I had half a bowl of Weetabix which I didn't even finish and my beloved banana! I've gotta admit one thing I'm kind of getting put off Weetabix so I think it's time that I found something else to eat at Sehri. So how was my first ever Iftaari of Ramadhan 2014, well it was pretty good those chicken puffs were delicious! I honestly couldn't eat much because I was really bloated to the extent that I felt sick! But today I'm hoping that I get to eat a lot more and especially my desert! So guys you've probably guessed that todays post is yet again another recipe, I know I said I wasn't going to do a lot of recipes but I can't help it they just keep coming and you guys keep liking! So today's recipe is a desert that is soo simple to make and is perfect for Iftaar my quick Mango Cheesecake (well it's my take on a cheesecake with some added surprises!)

Ramadhan Diaries: Day 1 & Chicken Puff Pastry recipe

RAMADHAN DIARIES: DAY 01
Hello Jemples and welcome to a brand new concept on this blog my daily Ramadhan diaries!! Well as the name suggests these are small diaries which I will update each day in the month of Ramadhan. The content of the diaries will vary each day like some days I might just have a more chatty blog where I will talk about my experience of the day so far, other days I might share some tips with you that I've found have helped during Ramadhan and other days like today I may share a recipe with you that will be quick and simple (it has to be especially if I'm making it!) that you can whip up for Iftaar. So before I go onto the recipe I'm just going to very quickly share with you all about how my day has gone so far. Well as you all probably know today marked the start of Ramadhan so just like a lot of people I was really excited to keep the fast (I mean the excitement of the first fast is just something out of this world!) At Sehri I ate a bowl of Weetabix (which was quite filled) and one banana and Alhamdulillah the day has passed quite well, I'm not going to lie I have started to feel hungry (the stomach is now rumbling) but that's only natural especially because it's only the first day so it will take time for the body to get used to it. I had read somewhere that bananas help because they don't make you feel thirsty, and I don't whether the placebo effect is working or whether bananas actually work because I don't feel thirsty at all! So definitely try it yourself! So I'm not going to babble on instead I'm going to share with you a recipe for a quick and healthy starter:

Cake Pops Recipe

Cake Pops Recipe!!
So guys I'm back with another blog post (sorry its a bit late I know a lot of you have been eagerly waiting) but this post is slightly different, in fact it's a much requested post, my recipe to make SIMPLE, EASY & CHEAP cake pops that you can customise as you please. One  fun thing about this recipe is that anyone can make them because they require very little skill but they do require a lot of patience. Oooh I just forgot the votes for the names have been counted and verified (BGT and X factor style) and the name that has been chosen is *drumroll................* JEMPLES!!

So Jemples (Eeep it's the first time I've called you all Jemples!!) if you want to know how I made these delicious looking (and tasty) cake pops then stay tuned. Oh before we start I'm going to throw a little disclaimer out there, if it's your first time making these (the same as me) then you're going to need a lot of patience and even after that patience, if things don't necessarily go to plan (the cake pops may not be circle all the time) then don't worry just try, try and try again and if all else fails then cover up your mistakes with the decoration! (I covered mine up with the chocolate!) So as you probably gathered this post is a mixture of recipes and my first time experience with Cake Pops, Enjoy!!

Oooh if you try out this recipe then leave a comment and an image below so I can see how you got on! And also tell me whether you like these kinds of recipes and what you want me to do next.
